Mental Health

Mental health indicators are used to track the number of children who may suffer from mental illness including depression or suicidal thoughts.  Many indicators are based on surveys conducted each year in the school system addressing middle school and high school students.  Additional indicators look at children with emotional or behavioral problems.  These data inform planning for preventive and treatment programs.
