Transportation

The population and economic growth the Charlotte region has experienced has also resulted in ever-increasing congestion on the region's roads.  Alternative transportation has started to take hold, with Charlotte's inaugural light rail line opening in 2007 and more lines slated in the coming years.  These trends are tracked by three indicators: Commuting Means, Commute Time, and Average Travel Delay.
