Demographics

The Charlotte region has experienced significant growth over the past 20 years.  The economic transformation spurred by the consolidation of banking giants in uptown Charlotte has resulted in striking demographic changes as well, turning a bi-racial city into a multicultural metropolis. The four indicators that capture the current population and recent changes in the region are: Population, Age and Gender, Race and Ethnicity and Place of Birth.
