Education

Education is one of the most important assets in today's knowledge-based economy, making it a key indicator of a region's future.  The Charlotte region is home to 21 school districts, including one of the largest consolidated school systems in the country- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.  Four indicators focus on students in those school districts: Enrollment, Student Achievement levels, High School Graduation Rates, and the Post Graduation Plans of those students.  A fifth indicator looks at the level of Educational Attainment of the overall population.
