Government & Citizen Participation

Residents of the Charlotte region are active members of their communities.  They are enthusiastic participants in local, state, and national politics.  They also give generously to public charities and private foundations that work to make the region a better place.  Two indicators capture this community investment: Voter Turnout and Charitable Giving.
