Public Safety

Public safety is a clear concern for all communities and has far-reaching effects on the quality of life.  Crime has become an increasing concern to residents of the Charlotte region.  Vehicle accidents are also a serious concern of the region's residents, and bike safety has become a more prominent issue as more residents take to the streets on bikes for exercise and transportation.   These issues are grouped into two indicators: Crime and Traffic Safety.
