With the bustling city of Charlotte at its center, Mecklenburg County contains a dynamic and influential economy.  As the area recovers from the worst recession in recent history, individuals are impacted by many factors, ranging from the obvious (unemployment) to the oblique (child care costs).  The economic measures followed here include the following: Child Care, Earnings, Employment, Labor Force Participation, Poverty and Unemployment.
